A resident of the 8000 block of Independence Drive, located near 18 Mile and Utica roads, reported Aug. 15 that someone used her debit card number several times in Las Vegas. the victim cancelled her card.A resident of the 8000 block of Suncrest Drive, located near 19 Mile and Clinton River roads, reported that someone attempted to break into the house while the family was out of town between 5 p.m. Aug. 19 and 5 p.m. Aug. 21. there were footprints on the front and rear garage doors where it appears the suspect attempted to kick in the doors. there were also small pry marks on the rear doorframe and the plants were trampled down in the front of the house, directly under the front bedroom windows.A resident of the 34000 block of Shearing Drive, located near 15 Mile Road and Maple Lane, reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. Aug. 22 and 10 a.m. Aug. 23 while it was parked in her driveway and stole the GPS unit, along with other miscellaneous items.A resident of the 15000 block of Ashgrove Drive, located near Hayes and 18 Mile roads, reported that someone stole his vehicle from the parking lot of the complex between 1 and 9 a.m. Aug. 23. the victim said his vehicle was locked and he is in possession of both sets of keys.A resident of the 8000 block of 18 Mile Road, east of Van Dyke, reported that someone entered his home while he was asleep between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 24 and 5:30 a.m. Aug. 25, and stole his laptop and remote control. the victim said he believes the rear sliding door may have been left unlocked through the night, as there are no signs of forced entry. several other items had been moved around, but not taken.A resident of the 34000 block of Amsterdam Drive, located near 15 Mile Road and Van Dyke, reported that an attempt had been made to forcibly enter his home between 9 a.m. Aug. 13 and 10:30 p.m. Aug. 23. the victim was trying to push open the living room window when he noticed that the screen had been bent in and was blocking the window from opening properly. He went outside and found that the screen had been forced to the side and the pins had been pulled out. the screen had not been removed, but it was apparent that someone attempted to gain entry to the house.A resident of the 43000 block of Hyde Park Drive, located near 19 Mile and Schoenherr roads, reported he was checking his statement and discovered that his Home Depot card had been used twice July 12 in Fort Gratiot. the victim checked for his card and discovered it missing. He notified Home Depot and cancelled his card.the manager of a landscaping business on the 38000 block of Mound Road, south of 17 Mile Road, reported that upon arrival for work around 6:45 a.m. Aug. 25, he discovered the padlock on the front gate at Mound Road had been cut. He further discovered that his pickup had been stolen, and the padlocks on two storage units and the shed had also been cut. Items that had been in the bed of the pickup had been unloaded, and numerous items from the storage units and shed had been stolen. it is likely the items had been removed from the truck to make room for the stolen equipment.A resident of the 4000 block of Henry Court, located near 18 Mile and Ryan roads, reported that someone stole his moped which was parked next to his front porch between 1 and 6 a.m. Aug. 29. the victim said the steering wheel of the moped was locked.the victim reported that someone stole her scooter around 6 p.m. Aug. 28 while she ran inside a store located in a strip mall on the 39000 block of Van Dyke, north of 17 Mile Road.A resident of the 12000 block of Cabot Drive, located near Metropolitan Parkway and Dodge Park Road, reported that someone stole his boat trailer and plate from his side yard between 4 p.m. Aug. 27 and 1 a.m. Aug. 28. there was no boat on theThe victim reported that someone stole the catalytic converter from her vehicle around 4:46 p.m. Aug. 26 while it was parked at the Beaumont Medical Center on the 44000 block of Dequindre Road, south of Dobry.A resident of the 39000 block of Parklawn Drive, located near Van Dyke and 17 Mile Road, reported that he heard a loud noise on the side of his home around 9:15 p.m. Aug. 29. Upon checking, he found rocks had been thrown at his house and car. there was damage to the gutters and a basement screen on the north side of the house. there was also damage to the hood and passenger-side door of the vehicle. He said someone had damaged his vinyl siding a couple days earlier with rocks, however he did not call the police on that date.A resident of the 38000 block of Connecticut Drive, located near 15 Mile and Ryan roads, reported that someone broke into his vehicle between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 28 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 29, and stole the subwoofers, navigation system, an MP3 player and his designer sunglasses. there were marks on the driver’s side door and it appears the lock was manipulated. the victim’s other car been "keyed" on all four doors and the hatchback at the same time.A resident of the 42000 block of Flis Drive, located near 19 Mile and Ryan roads, reported that he received a bill around 3:30 p.m. Aug. 29 from AT&T for nearly $2,200 for an account he never opened.A resident of the 5000 block of Peekskill Drive, located near 17 Mile and Mound roads, reported that someone entered his Jeep through a Velcro window between 1 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Aug. 29, and stole his remote-control helicopter from the back seat. the victim also found the rear hatch door to be open.A resident of the 13000 block of Canopy Drive, located near Schoenherr and Canal roads, reported that she heard a loud bang around 2 a.m. Aug. 29. she looked out and did not notice anything suspicious. When she went out later in the afternoon, she found the front passenger-side window of her vehicle had been shattered, and the GPS unit and a laptop computer had been stolen.

Having been an Oakley fan all of my life, I never foresaw these new kind of shades coming, made with a built-in MP3 player. There are several different models and styles to choose from and the storage capacity seems to range from 1/2 GB to 2 GB. as you can see in the photo, there are buttons on the sides of the shades which enable for the controls. Along the side of the glasses is where the headphones would connect, so no more need for that annoying cord that always ends up in tangles.
